Primary School and Nursery

Year 4/5

Well hello again!

What a fabulous year we have had so far this year and we have even more exciting things coming up!

I'm sure your children have already told you that they have a new teacher this half term, Miss O'Donnell. She is a great addition to the class and the children are loving having someone new to dote on them :). As their class teacher I am so proud of how each and everyone of them have taken on a new teacher at this time of the year and really welcomed them! They're an asset to you all.

There are so many things to look forward to in this last half term. Next week we have Mersea trip for our year 5 children, where they will partake in lots of team building opportunities and of course a chance to sleep in a tent. Hehe they'll love it, I'm sure!

Tuesday 19th June is our sports day. All the children are really looking forward to all the run offs we have to do and very eager to win the races. Later on in the term, Friday 6th July, UKS2 will be going on a school trip to Walton on the Naze. The children will be complete workshops and have a fun filled day!!!

Welcome to Year 4/5!

Hello! Welcome to our Year 4/5 Class page! We have a wonderful class full of 20 fabulous children and support from the wonderful Mrs Ranson and Mrs Shaw. I am their class teacher, Mrs Goff.

We have had such a good start to the year already. We have learnt lots in all our different lessons and have really enjoyed learning all about World War One. We even took a trip down to the local Redoubt during the Sea Shanty and joined in with a music workshop. Which was a little tricky but we absolutely loved it and didn't give up. Pictures to follow :)

We have all been showing off our incredible maths skills and Mrs Goff is so impressed! She is also really impressed with the amount of us who are reading at home! Her prize box is getting demolished!

The year 4's go swimming weekly and are all doing so well. She is really proud of the progress they are making already!

Keep looking on our page for more updates :).

Spellings and Homework are given out on a Monday and are due back in on Friday each week.

Included in their Homework the children need to read a minimum of 3 times a week. Each time they read they will receive 5 Dojo's and a sticker on their bookmarks in class. Once they have 10 stickers they get a prize from the box.

As an added bonus each half term, any child that has done their Homework, Spellings and read a minimum of 3 times a week every week of the term gets a special prize :).

The PE lessons for our Class are on Tuesday PM and Wednesday AM. This is when the Year 4 children will need their swimming kits and £3 swimming money :).
