Welcome to Harwich Community Primary School and Nursery!
I would like to give you a warm welcome to our school. I am Mrs Rachel Anderson and I’m the Headteacher here at Harwich Community Primary School! I believe that primary school memories should be amongst the best a person has. It is a time when children have great enthusiasm and a thirst for discovery and learning. It is our aim at Harwich Community Primary to make the most of your child’s potential at this crucial time. We want all of our children to enjoy their time here and leave the school at the age of eleven as confident young people, aiming high for lifelong learning, with wonderful lifelong memories too.
Our school is a safe, secure, attractive, pleasant and caring community that strives to do its best for every individual child. We aim to give children quality learning experiences to flourish in a climate of learning, which seeks to develop integrity, honesty, truth, compassion and high expectations. All children have access to a wide range of subjects so that they can develop their strengths and improve their weaknesses.
Successfully educating a child is achieved by a partnership between parents and school and with our fabulous team of staff and governors this is certainly possible. We look forward to working with you in the education of your child and build up some good relations along the way.
We value good behaviour and aim for the children to leave the school as healthy, tolerant, responsible youngsters who consider the effect of their actions on others. I certainly hope that you and your child / children enjoy your time with us and look forward to meeting you soon.
