Science
In year 4 this summer term we are looking at States of matter.
Children will learn all about the three states of matter: solid, liquid and gas. They will then compare them and their particle properties. Then we will go on the STEM investigations.
In year 4 this spring term we are looking at animals including humans.
Children will learn all about the human body and compare it to other animals. They will. also learn all about human teeth and compare them to other animals too.
After this we will then move on to Electricity.
In year 4 this term we are looking at sounds.
Children learn that sounds are caused by vibrations. They learn that sounds travel from an object, through a medium (usually the air), travel into the ear where they are carried down the ear canal and processed by the brain.
In year 4 this term we are looking at living things and their habitats.
So far we have looked at MRS GREN she helps remind us the characteristics of all living things. All living things: Move, Respire, are sensitive, grow, reproduce, excrete and need nutrition.
