Welcome to Year 6!
We are really enjoying this term and have some great fun along the way. IXL has been so good. We have now completed over 25,000 questions as a class and we are still increasing this every day. We can work on it at home to improve our skills. Have a look at the website on the link below.
We have been learning about important safeguarding issues in our assemblies and we went to Crucial Crew at the Tendring Education Centre where we had workshops on e-safety, gangs and healthy relationships.
We all have a job to do in class now that we are year 6, we have to be more responsible. Some of us are prefects, mentors, librarians, office helpers, lunch time monitors and we also have a head boy and girl!
The week before half term we had practise SATS which were hard but we have learnt a lot from them and we know it will help us improve for the real thing in May!
We hope that you liked our class assembly. We have attached the powerpoint for this in case you wanted to have a closer look at our work.
Please look at our class Dojo page as well so you can see how your child is doing each day.
Have you seen the Kids' Zone? Play games and visit some cool websites. You can vote for your favourites.
We loved having our parents and carers come in for Friendship Week. We had so much fun! We had some stories around the camp fire, made African huts, Acrostic Poems, played board games with each other. We made a whole school puzzle which is on display in our corridors now too. We also learnt about Guide Dogs for the Blind and how they are such good friends to their owners. We hope you enjoyed it too!
Coming up we have a Christmas Panto and the Christmas show! We can't wait.
