Welcome Back to Nursery !! Spring 2022

Miss Lindsay and Mrs Hewitt would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. It is great to be back. There were lots of big smiles and happy faces returning to nursery this Monday when the children met up with their friends. They were very excited to see us after the holidays and share their news, we loved hearing all the lovely things you did over the school holidays.

It has been  wonderful to meet all the new children who are beginning to settle in well and make lots of new friends we are very impressed.

The children have been very busy so far this week, taking part in phonological activities to develop their listening skills and sharing stories as well as helping to make up stories using our special story bag and characters.  Maths has been fun and we are learning to count in order and recognise small amounts. Your children will probably be very tired for the first few weeks as they get used to the busy day with lots of learning through play.

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom Were Going to the Moon .... our topic this first part of the term is space where we will be exploring our galazy with lots of fun activities and stories.

We like to have a quiet time during the lunch hour after the children have eaten their lunch to give them a chance to wind down and relax before the afternoon children join us for more active activities, fun and games. It is a long day for the little ones and this supports their general well being, giving them the chance to rest their bodies and minds.  They do get the opportunity to join in with familiar nursery rhymes or listen to fairy tales and other stories during quiet time. Please click on the links below to explore all the fun learning and exploring activities we plan to engage your child in. Don't forget if you have any fun ideas you would like to share with us, we would love to hear about them.
