In year 4 this Summer term we are looking at STEM investigations and then we will look at States of matter.

Children will learn all about the three states of matter: solid, liquid and gas. They will then compare them and their particle properties. Then we will go on the STEM investigations. 

In year 4 this spring term 2 we are looking at electricity.

Children will learn all about electricity, how to stay safe, what conductors and isolators are, how we can make and change a circuit, circuit symbols and components. 

In year 4 this spring term 1 we are looking at animals including humans. 

Children will learn all about the human body and compare it to other animals. They will. also learn all about human teeth and compare them to other animals too. 

In year 4 this Autumn term 2 we are looking at sounds.

Children learn that sounds are caused by vibrations. They learn that sounds travel from an object, through a medium (usually the air), travel into the ear where they are carried down the ear canal and processed by the brain. 

In year 4 this Autumn term 1 we are looking at living things and their habitats.

We will be looking at MRS GREN she helps remind us the characteristics of all living things. All living things: Move, Respire, are sensitive, grow, reproduce, excrete and need nutrition.
