Task 1 - Read the next chapter in the book. No Escape (You can read independently or read along with the MP3 below).
Task 2 - children to draw a labelled map of the story world so far, including Bob and Joan’s house, the city hall, the orphanage, the police station, the hospital, the school and the market.
Task 3 - Write a description of one of the settings used so far. Scan back through the book to find some of the great descriptive language Philip Pullman used to help you with this.

I couldn't find anything to help us draw a character from I Was A Rat so I have had to find another Phillip Pullman character. Iorek from His Dark Materials. See if you can do a better Iorek than the one on our classroom window.
